Stal Heijligers has the goal to make all our horses the best they can be in competition and the riders to be well trained and ready to win!

There are several training options for both rider and horse at any level:

You can put both young and experienced horses in our training programs, for short or longer periods. There is much value to a professional training of the horses. A thorough training as a young horse is the foundation for success later. The horses deserve excellent care, training and consistent time and attention so as to best results. There are many international horses that have had their scholing at the Heijligers stable, for example Rancorrado, now competing with Cian O ' Connor at international Grand Prix level and Colorado who jumped international with Harrie Smolders. These horses were trained by Rob Heijligers to the Z level.

Rob currently has available a couple of excellent horses for international competition. They are;  Transporteurs Orkaan by Burggraaf, winner of the Grand Prix in Roeser and Online GLC of Lux Z winner of the Grand Prix in Panhof.

In addition to these two horses, we have SRI Tyson and Usabel both inheriting the talents of their sire Navarone. These horses are often winners at 135cm. These horses started  from young green horses at our stable and trained by Rob to where they are now.

In addition to competing in international competitions, we also train young horses, last year was Rob Heijligers very successful during the Championships for Young Horses in Ermelo. He was placed with 3 horses for the finals of the 4-year-old horses and won the final of the 5 year old horses with Wironium, son of Heartbreaker.

Rider Instruction:

Stal Heijligers provides instruction from beginner to advanced riders of all ages. Both group classes of up to 4 riders and private lessons are available. It is also possible to jump courses, or to have you and your horse be trained and supervised during competitions. Rob Heijligers is a Licensed International Trainer. The aim is to provide the best results but also with great enjoyment of the equestrian sport and all it has to offer!

If you are coming to consider buying horses, please let us know in advance so that we may have the right type and priced horses ready for you to compare.  We can suggest lodging for you in our area as well.

During certain times of the year we are able to offer a program for riders wishing to come for an intense training period with their horse or one of ours.  These are weekly programs and are either individual or group arrangements with riding skill levels considered for each training period.  We have several lovely Bed & Breakfast Inns located around our facility that will take care of you when you are done for the day.  Please contact Nina about your interest, dates, group plans so that she may advise you of what is possible and the prices and availability of trainers at the time you wish to come.
